Bob was one of the last great ad men. A wonderful friend and mentor, I learned so much from him about publishing and advertising. Bob coached me on how to sell what he affectionately called "white space." He was one in a million and I will dearly miss his typewritten letters. Rest in peace, Robert. My condolences to the family on your tremendous loss.

Bob was nor just a great salesman and letter writer, but a great networker as well. Whether it was connecting a job seeker with a coach or an opportunity, a needy friend with a caregiver or a ride to doctor, a singer with contact in Nashville, or help in dealing with unwanted critters, Bob was always willing and ready. No opportunity to help was beneath him. Most memorable, perhaps, was his unwavering pride in all his children's and grandchildren's accomplishments. Rest in peace, Bob, your work is done!
