Robert Charles Harbinson, 98, of Clementon, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, in Voorhees, New Jersey. Born on April 24, 1927, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late William E. and Frances Harbinson.

He spent his formative years growing up in Camden and National Park, New Jersey and resided in Bellmawr and Marlton, New Jersey before moving to Clementon in 1995. He was a proud veteran having honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Stationed at Camp Edwards in Massachusetts, he was a member of the anti-aircraft, 1st division, where he defended his country with valor and honor.

After his military service, Robert embarked on a distinguished career in the newspaper industry. For 36 years, he worked at the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin as a journeyman pressman. He concluded his career as a foreman at the Philadelphia Inquirer, dedicating seven years to the publication before retiring. His commitment to his craft was further exemplified by his membership in the Pressman Union #16 where he was a well-respected, active member who mentored several generations of pressman in Philadelphia area.

Bob's personal life was filled with as much passion and commitment as his professional one. He was predeceased by his first wife, Helen Harbinson nee Barnabie, and his second wife, Rita R. Harbison nee Delanova; his daughter, Arlene Harvey; his stepdaughters, Eileen Lagatario, Kathy Waters, and Beverly Hedicheck; his siblings, Emma F. Cunningham, William E. Harbinson and Henry W. Harbinson, Sr.

His legacy is carried on by his loving children, Robert W. Harbinson (Debbie), Bruce D. Harbinson (Ellen), Joyce M. Brown (Joe), and Maryanne Krakowitz (Skip), who will forever cherish the lessons and love he imparted. His life was further blessed with 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren who brought him immeasurable joy and pride.

Robert also leaves behind his long-time companion, Kitty Hruza; sons-in-law, Theodore Harvey and Bob Waters; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members who will miss his guidance and warmth.

Robert was a parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Our Lady of Hope Parish, in Blackwood, NJ.

His love for life was evident in his hobbies of carpentry, plumbing, mechanical work and a passion for ballroom dancing. Robert was an avid dancer, often gracing the dance floor multiple times a week where he found joy and companionship. He was also a member of the Always Young Club and Friendly Singles Club as well as many others during his active life.
