Robert Lewis Harmon

Robert Lewis Harmon, born December 27, 1947 in Carrollton, MO, finished his work here on Earth and proudly departed to Heaven on March 6, 2026. He spent his younger years drag racing the streets of Carrollton, before enlisting in the United States Navy to serve his country in the Vietnam War. He became an airplane mechanic and was stationed in Key West, Florida. The stories we heard about those days will forever be legendary.

After getting transferred to Lakehurst Naval Base in New Jersey, he met the love of his life, Judith, whom he will be joining in Heaven. Bob was a hard worker; there was no machine he couldn't fix. But what he was most proud of was his children, Robert Harmon (Jennifer), Kelly Adair (Chris), Mark Harmon (Rachael); grandchildren, Morgan Manier, Anthony Harmon (Malery), December Harmon, Trinity Kirk (Tristen), Abigail Knoshaug (Benjamin), and Lacyana Adair; great grandchildren, Claire, Axel, Olivia, Oaklyn, Beckham, Ada, and soon to be Marlow and Brooks: siblings, Jim (Lois) Harmon, Bill (Donna) Harman, Patty Appleberry, Tom (Nancy) Harman, Mary Robinson, Rita (Jim) Appleberry, John Harman, Jo Thornsberry, Jerry Harman, Mick (Rita) Harman, and Pete (Carol) Harman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ruby Harman, siblings, Larry Harman, Bud Harman, and Loretta Basse.

He loved his family, he loved his work, and he never ever stopped fighting. I know he is up in Heaven smiling down on us AND giving 'em hell! Before he passed, he did write his own obituary; he wanted it to simply say: Bob died, Truck for sale.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2026 with Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 211 Shanklin St., Carrollton, MO. Burial following with full military honors at St. Mary's Cemetery, Carrollton, MO.
