Robert Lewis Heistand

Robert Lewis Heistand, age 70, of Newark, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his home.
Bob was born June 15, 1951 in Newark, Ohio to the late Clifford Heistand and the late Doris (Moats) Heistand Keaser.
Bob was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a cab driver for Yellow Cab for many years. Bob enjoyed fishing, playing cards on the computer, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jamie Linn (Phelps) Heistand; son, Daniel Holloway (Wyonna Lacey) of Newark; grandchildren, Camielle Christman, Safiya Holloway, Chance Christman, and Amikah Christman; siblings, Janice Keaser, John Keaser, Jessica Keaser Brown, Jaye Keaser and Janet Keaser; mother-in-law, Judith Phelps of Newark; 10 nieces and nephews as well as nieces, Kristan Phelps of Newark and Raven McKenna of Dayton; special friend, Brandon "Gage" Smith; and his fur baby, Daisy May Heistand.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas J. Christman III; a sister, Regina Heistand; a brother, Fredrick Heistand; and by his step-father, Russell Keaser.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Cedar Hill Cemetery where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
