Yesterday

I knew Bob from Alpine Park watching the evening sunsets. Bob was always a pleasure to talk to and he always had a story to share. He is and will always be missed.

We are offering our sincerest condolences to the Hejnas family and close friends of Bob. I have worked with and known Bob since the early 80´s in Bethpage on the E-2C Program. Bob always shared his knowledge of the aircraft with anyone or anytime if it would better the aircraft. Bob was always professional and courteous to everyone he met. Rest in peace my friend.

I loved my chats with Bob during the sunsets at Alpine park. He helped me conquer my fear of flying and told me all about New York, my first flight destination. Alpine Park will not be the same without him.

I admired Bob for his vast knowledge and experience, but what I will remember most is his kind spirit. He would ask me if I needed help such as a ride to an appointment, yet I don't remember him complaining about his problems whatever they were. We'll miss you Bob!

True friend and colleague we first met in Singapore on an aircraft recovery project. I´ve got to know his children and his wife the past 30 years here in Saint Augustine. My golf partner for 15 years never a cross word between us. Recently raise the glass a few times at Donovan´s pub always shared thoughts on life . Gone too soon. Rest in peace.

You have our deepest sympathies, and your family are in our prayers. Bobbie was a great friend, and we go back many years together, working, golfing, and participating on many events. Some of the most memorable were the Toys for Tots luncheons. We also had something between us, that whenever one called the other, we would always start off the conversation in Japanese! or what we thought sounded like it... :). I can hear his voice right now. He will be truly missed.

My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to Bob´s family and friends. Besides being a coworker and colleague he was also a good friend and my golfing buddy for the last several years. I´ve enjoyed many lunches with Bob as he always knew some of the best places to eat. I got to know Bob as a caring and generous person not only to family and friends but strangers as well exemplified by his charitable work with kids and veterans. Bob will truly be missed by many who knew him as well as by those who benefited from his generosity of giving anonymously! Rest in Peace Bob knowing you lived life well!

Sending our deepest sorrow and sympathy. I have many fond memories of Bob as his friend and colleague at work and partnering with him supporting many community charity events near and dear to his heart such as the USO and Toys for Tots. Bobby leaves an impactful lasting legacy at work where he was a trusted mentor and a loyal friend to so many. The St Augustine and Jacksonville civilian and military communities have all been so richly blessed through the work and support Bobby provided through the charitable outreaches he supported over so many years. He will be profoundly missed but Bobby will always have a permanent place in our hearts and memories.
