Robert D. “Bob” Henschen, 92, of Highland, IL, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Cedarhurst Senior Living of Highland, IL.
He was born July 14, 1933, to Dewey and Alma (nee Knop) Henschen in Highland, IL. On December 6, 1952, he married Joan Delores Winet.
Bob was a member of United Church of Christ, Alhambra, IL. He was a farmer and farmed for over 50 years. Bob & Joan enjoyed going to South Padre Island for the winters. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Henschen; parents, Dewey and Alma Henschen; father and mother-in-law, Felton and Lucille Winet; brothers and sister- in-laws Donald and Vera Henschen and Udell and Ruth Henschen; brothers-in-law, Belmont Koch and Rich Kessmann; granddaughter-in-law, Kori Henschen.
Bob is survived by his children, Debra (Gary) Goestenkors, Highland, IL, Terry Henschen, Trenton, IL, Mike (Carol) Henschen, Alhambra, IL, Bruce (Holly) Henschen, Highland, IL; former daughter-in-law, Brenda Henschen, Alhambra, IL; grandchildren, Ryan (Dawn) Goestenkors, Jared (Michelle) Goestenkors, Craig (Megan) Henschen, Phillip (significant other, Christina Chase) Henschen, Keri (fiancée, Andrew Jacober) Henschen, Brent (Emily) Henschen, Megan (Andy) Nolan, Natalie (Brett) Lewis, Chelsey (fiancée, Corey Goldstein) Henschen, Dawn (Dale) Mriscin, Kari (Chris) Marshall, Chanda Perkins; sister- in- laws, Donna Koch, Carol(Kenny) Ziegler, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.
Private Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
