1956 - 2025
Robert J. "Boomer" Herdman, 69 of Cohasset, MN, died on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 in his home in Cohasset.
Born on March 11, 1956 in Grand Rapids, he was the son of Dean and Delores (Aiton) Herdman. He was a life long resident of Itasca County, he owned and operated RJ's market in Coleraine and had worked at Hibbing Taconite for 30 years. He was a member of the Greenway Alumni Association, where he was in the Hall of Fame, Itasca Lodge #208 A.F. @ A.M, North Star Shrine cycle patrol and the AAD Temple Shrine - Duluth.
Survivors include his children; Robert (Beth) Herdman, Jeff (Tabbatha) Herdman and Krista (Tom) Clusiau, step-sons; Darin Dorholt and Ryan (Anna) Quigg and 8 grandchildren. Sisters; Nancy (Dave) Warneke, Denise Herdman and Janet MacNeil and his stepfather Mert Rima.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Yvonne and a nephew Jay MacNeil.
There will be a graveside service at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2025 in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
In lieu of flowers or memorials, please raise a glass in Boomer's honor!
