Robert Earl Hickmon Son, Brother, Father and Grandfather (Grand Pa)

Robert is known for his quick wit, a good lie, inspirational passages, humorous and joking demeanor, passed away on March 16, 2026.

Robert was born on February 16, 1957, to parents, Frankie Lee and Mayzell Hickmon in Strong, Arkansas.

His family moved to Bonner Springs, Kansas in 1960. He later attended Bonner Springs Senior High School, where he participated in Soccer, becoming the team captain, Bonner's Soccer Mentor Optimist Speaker and the youngest Coach, whereby he received the Coach of the Year Award.

At the age of seventeen, Robert enlisted into the United States Army. He was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii. He ultimately, earned his high school diploma from the University of Hawaii, in Honolulu, Hawaii. During his service in the military, Robert served with the 2nd Battalion 11th Field Artillery Regiment.

Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed many activities, including

fishing, playing softball, being a handyman and going camping at the lake. He loved watching any/all

sports, including the KC Chiefs, KC Royals and the Olympics. He had a voracious appetite and

consumed all kinds of traditional and exotic foods. He loved playing cards and slapping bones. He

liked volunteering at the church pantry. He especially, loved working with children in the

neighborhood, earning the name Grand Pa Hood and he eventually became a State of Missouri

childcare provider for several children in the neighborhood.

Robert was a member of Friendship Baptist Church Hope Ministries, located at 3530 Chelsea Dr.,

Kansas City Missouri, 64128. Robert helped to assist the elderly and worked vigorously in the pantry.

In turn creating a stronger bond with our almighty Lord and Savior.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Frankie Lee Hickmon, his brothers Charles F. L. Hickmon

and Eddie W. Hickmon and sister, Barbara A. Hickmon.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Mayzell Hickmon of Bonner Springs, Kansas one

son, Allen Hickmon, daughters, Jazmin J. Davison (Matthew), Jalet Antionette Hickmon-Rosa

(Concepcion S.) of Greenwood, Missouri and Kianna Ja'Nae Hickmon of Kansas City, Kansas.

Sisters, Ethal Beasley (Leroy) of Ottawa, Kansas, Eva M. Hickmon (Steve McConico) of Bonner

Springs, Kansas and Joyce A. Hickmon of Kansas City, Missouri. Three grandchildren, Sai Stone

Corazon Rosa, Ky'Aire Christopher Rosa, and Shiloh Storm Yah'June Rosa.Also having two grandboys

and one grand girl by daughter Jazmin Davison.
