Robert "Rob" Chauncey Hoffman, 59, of Independence, KY, passed away on September 21, 2025 in his home in Independence Kentucky.

A private service and burial will be held for friends and family.

Robert was born in Covington, KY on September 9, 1966 and the son of Robert E. Lewis and Cheryl D. Lewis. He went to high school at Simon Kenton and graduated in 1984. He went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Political Science from Northern Kentucky University.

Robert was retired, and a veteran of the Army and National Guard. He was also a caregiver to his wife and father-in-law.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Marlene, of Independence; his parents, Robert and Cheryl Lewis of Independence; his brother Jim (and Emily) Hoffman of Alexandria; his sister Kimberly (and Darrel) Back of Independence; his brother Rodney (and Nichole) Hoffman of Bowling Green; and his sister Diane Cook of Independence.

He is survived by his children: Erin Hoffman (and Kelly) of Erlanger; Teddy Hoffman of Walton; Faeryn Riggs (and Tim) of Virginia Beach, VA; Nicole Neary of Florence; and Tony Moscato (and Morgan) of Independence.

He leaves behind his father-in-law, Paul Lewkutz of Independence and his mother-in-law, Linda Lanza of Independence, a legacy of 7 grandchildren, and a large and loving extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org), who provides mental health services to Veterans.
