Robert John "Bob" Hogrefe

Robert "Bob" John Hogrefe, age 80, of Eagle Grove, Iowa died January 31, 2026 at his residence.

Funeral Mass will take place Friday, February 6, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 5-8:00 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in STORM LAKE. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Bob was born May 5, 1945 in Storm Lake, Iowa to Martin and Anna (Lullmann). He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Storm Lake, Iowa. He attended grade school at Zion Parochial School, Storm Lake and then graduated from Newell Providence High School in Newell, Iowa in 1963.

Bob was stationed in Incirlik, Turkey while he served with the United States Air Force from 1965 until 1969.

On August 22, 1970, Bob married Rose Daniel in Varina, Iowa. They were blessed with four children: John, Chad, Jeremy and Lisa.

Bob attended Iowa Central Community College and Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Bob worked in business with his brother, Norm, until 1995 at which time he bought into the Family Table Restaurant in 1995. Bob retired from the restaurant business in 2010.

Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Eagle Grove and Lake Creek Country Clubs, and active in many organizations within the St. Mary's Catholic School system while his children attended school. His leisure time was spent with music, golfing, woodworking, fishing, car rides with his boys and spending as much time with family as he could.

Preceding Bob in death were his parents, Martin and Anna Hogrefe; parents-in-law: Walter and Ann Daniel; brother, Vernon Hogrefe; brother and sister-in-law, Norm and Lynn Hogrefe; son, John Hogrefe; daughter, Lisa Hogrefe; sister-in-law, Jean Daniel and brother-in-law, Bill Karolski.

Surviving Bob are his wife, Rose of Eagle Grove, Iowa, sons: Chad (Amy) Hogrefe of LeMars, Iowa and Jeremy (Jennifer) Hogrefe of Eagle Grove, Iowa; brother, Arlo Hogrefe of Alta, Iowa; sister: Myrna (Roger) Lorenzen of Alta, Iowa; grandchildren: Tate Hogrefe of LeMars, Iowa, Elizabeth Hogrefe of Sioux City, Iowa, Zach Hogrefe of Eagle Grove, Iowa and Maya Hogrefe of LeMars, Iowa.
