It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Rob" Loren Hooker, formerly of Brook Park, MN, who lost his battle with cancer in
Kalispell, Montana. Rob was 54 years old.
Born on April 25, 1971, to Richard "Sarge" and Suzanne (Murphy) Hooker in Mora, MN, Rob was a lively spirit who raised a little bit of chaos while growing up in the Brook Park area. After high school, Rob found a passion within the construction and masonry industry. When he wasn't working, he could be found working with horses. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Rob knew his zest for life, his stubborn streak a mile long, and that hidden gentle side that made him truly special.
While working at The Horse Academy in Ogilvie, MN, Rob fell in love with Tammy. Later marrying and moving to North Dakota before moving to the breathtaking landscapes of Montana.
Rob cherished the great outdoors, finding joy in hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature, no matter the season. Deer hunting season was the biggest holiday in the Hooker household. Rob would sit around the table with his Dad, brothers, and Uncle Dave telling bigger and bigger stories about the buck that got away.
He is preceded in death by his father Richard "Sarge" Hooker, his mother Suzanne Hooker, his brother Rich Hooker, and his beloved grandparents, Marion and Dolores Hooker, and Herman and Hope Murphy.
Rob is survived by his wife Tammy, his daughters, Lauren (Cory) Jopp, Logan (Alex Balstad) Hooker; brother, Ryan Hooker; his nieces, Nicole (David) Hooker, Brooklin (Eric) Willett, Dakota (Tyler) Hesse-Hooker; nephew, Ryan Hesse-Hooker; aunt and uncle, Bob and Betsy Dunagan; special cousins, BJ (Christa) Dunagan, Kim (son, Jase Fisher) Dunagan; and many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
