Robert Huebner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc. on May 18, 2026.
Robert Terry Huebner, 82, of Brackney, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 2026. He was a devoted friend, father, and grandfather, known for his unchecked, unwavering generosity; his boundless curiosity; his deep commitment to his faith; and his belief that hard work could solve any problem. In his later years, he combined all of these qualities to impact those who were in need-or believed they were in need-never making a distinction, only offering help.

He was born in Binghamton, New York, the son of Robert and Wilna Huebner.

Throughout his life, Terry built a legacy grounded in hard work, curiosity, and connection. He found joy in the simple, steady rhythm of his small engine shop, in plowing snow and working on his equipment, and in spending time with his dogs. He was a regular at coffee gatherings with a close-knit group of retired men from the Binghamton area, where conversations stretched on as they "solved the world's problems." Terry was also a natural storyteller, weaving long, intricate tales that wandered and meandered, often less about the destination than the journey itself. Work was always at the center of who he was-he truly loved what he did-and while he deeply valued his friendships, he was most himself when he had something to fix, build, or figure out.

His wife, Kathe, preceded him in passing a number of years ago. He is survived by his sister, Dale Huebner and her partner, Robin Dwyer; his daughter, Kelley and Eddie Wesoloski; his sons, Mark and Colleen Huebner, and Steve and Jodi Huebner; and his grandchildren, Tess Holbert; Rachel and Nate Krome; Paige Wesoloski; Kelsey Huebner; Allyson Huebner; Evelyn Huebner; Margaret Huebner; and Jasper O'Neill.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Remlik's Restaurant (31 Lewis Street, Binghamton), where the family will receive friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Humane Society or Special Olympics.

Terry will be remembered for the way he lived-working hard, staying curious, and quietly helping others in whatever way he could. His impact lives on in the many people whose lives he touched along the way.
