Robert Hurley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DeVito Funeral Home on Feb. 15, 2026.
Robert J. Hurley, Jr., formerly of Arlington and most recently of Lawrence, passed away on February 12, 2026.

He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved father, Robert J. Hurley, Sr.; his mother, Collette (Smith) Hurley; his brother, Brian J. Hurley; and the grandparents who cherished him so much.

He will be deeply missed by his brother, Mark J. Hurley, and Mark's wife, Elaine, of Methuen; his nephew, Mark, and his wife, Danielle, of Montevideo, Uruguay; his niece, Jenna Ranauro, and her husband, Daniel, of Dover, NH; and his longtime, loving girlfriend, Brenda Lewis of Bedford, MA.

He will also be fondly remembered by his many Facebook friends, who looked forward to his daily weather reports, and by his neighborhood friends who, years ago, affectionately nicknamed him "Mr. Music."

Rob attended Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School, where he began his career at St. Elizabeth's Hospital through a work-study program. He went on to proudly serve the staff and patients there for 32 years until his retirement.

Rob enjoyed bowling, going for drives with friends, and taking family trips to North Conway and Ogunquit.
