TIPP CITY -- Robert D.Ishmael age 87 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Monday, March 7, 2022. Robert was born July, 6, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Moses and Elizabeth {Young} Ishmael. He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Emerson, William, and Donald Ishmael. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Marlene {Detrick} Ishmael, son Larry Ishmael of New Tazewell, Tennessee, brother Frank (Kathy) Ishmael of Nancy, Kentucky, two grandchildren; Brandon (Samantha) Ishmael of Pleasant Hill, Ohio and Brittany (Micah) Otto, of Tipp City and six great grandchildren, Trevor, Bryton, Hayden, Makena, Roselyn and Baylor.
Robert worked in Sales for Ishmael Precision Tool Corporation, Angell Manufacturing and Outdoor Sports. He was a longtime member of Tipp City United Methodist Church where he served as a board member and continued singing in the choir, something he started during his high school years when he attended Sulpher Grove UMC. He liked to attend the men's "breakfast club" with his buddies from Tipp UMC. Robert enjoyed collecting antiques and traveling, but his favorite activity was spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids and going to their sporting events.
A visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Tipp City United Methodist Church, 8 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371 with funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. Pastor Dan Glover officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Contributions may be made in Robert's memory to Tipp City United Methodist Church or ProMedica Hospice, 580 Lincoln Park Blvd #320, Kettering, OH 45429.
