In Loving Memory of Robert Wayne Johnson

May 28, 1968 – October 19, 2025

Robert Wayne Johnson, age 57, of Canyon Lake, California, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 19, 2025. Born in Monterey Park and raised in Rancho Cucamonga, Robert lived a life full of energy, laughter, and love. From his earliest days racing motocross bikes and playing baseball and soccer, to discovering his lifelong passion for fishing on the Colorado River at just three years old, Robert embraced every moment with joy and curiosity.

Known for his jet-black hair, warm brown eyes, and magnetic personality, Robert drew people to him with his generous heart and loyal friendships. He built a career at LA Fitness, where his determination and charisma quickly elevated him to General Sales Manager. Beyond professional success, Robert's greatest pride was his family. He cherished his children-Charles, Robert Jr., Amanda, and James-and delighted in the small, everyday moments that became treasured memories, such as morning drives to school filled with music and laughter.

In recent years, Robert shared a special bond with his mother, Patricia Wilson, with whom he lived. Together they enjoyed simple pleasures: dinners, television, and golf cart rides through Canyon Lake in search of garage sales. Their companionship was a source of joy and comfort.

Robert is survived by his loving mother, Patricia Wilson; siblings Brenda Quaintance, Ronda Keifer, and Gary Wilson; his first wife Essie Gibson, their children Charles Gibson, Robert Johnson Jr., Amanda Lorenz. His wife Rosalind Johnson and their son James Johnson; grandchildren Calliope, Lincoln, Lucas, and Leo Gibson; son-in-law Phillip Lorenz; daughter-in-law Karina Gibson; sister-in-law Renee Converse; niece Tara Harris; and many extended family members and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Robert will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held in Canyon Lake, California, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory, share stories, and celebrate the joy he brought into their lives.
