Robert "Bob" Johnston passed away on December 27, 2025, in Wilber. He was born July 2, 1943, to Robert and Ermina Johnston in Beatrice. He married Karen McCune on September 21, 1963. Bob worked for the State of Nebraska for 36 years before retirement.
Bob is survived by wife Karen, three daughters, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with a luncheon to follow at the American Legion. Inurnment at a later date.
