Robert Walter Jones is the firstborn of four children to the late Levi Buddy Jones and Rosalee (Walker) Jones. He was born on March 14, 1948 and departed this life on January 31, 2026.
He was raised in the Church, as was his father was a deacon. He continued his faith with his children at the Salvation Army with his brother, Larry Fisher.
Bob was part of the first class of Porter Hayes Elementary School. He finished his education at Taft High School. Bob as an avid sports fan..ESPN was his constant companion. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan until The Cincinnati Bengals came along. He was dangerous at the Bid Whist table or counting the bones (Dominos). He shared the title “Abdullah the Domino Rula” with his late brother, Demetrious Powell.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Lillian Dee Jones; his brother, Levi (Brenda) and Roger (Dianne) Jones; his children, Robbie Deshawn Jones, Rogeny Bell, Laura, Eric and Brittany Chapman; his bonus children, Andre Foster, Shawonnar Head, Alfred Bell (the late Shari ) and William Bell, Terry, Keisha, Shemeka and Sheena Jones. He also will be cherished by grand and great-grandchildren, far too many to list, and a host of relatives and friends whom he cherished.
