Robert Jordan

Robert James Jordan was born August 14th, 1941 to the late, Joseph and Elizabeth Jordan in Folkston, Ga. Robert met and married Angie Parrish Jordan. From this union, of 45 years they had two sons, Cortez and Chris. Robert was employed for over 48 years at Gilman Paper Mill in Camden County, Ga. He continued to work persistently at his lawn care business after leaving the mill to provide for his family. He was a member of Mt. New Home Missionary Baptist Church. He was a deacon and also served diligently on the usher board for 30 years until his health declined. Robert s favorite song was Jesus Said You Can Lean On Me, And I Won t Let You Fall. He enjoyed spending time outside in the yard, visiting with family and friends, and surrounded by his grandkids.
On August 25th, 2022 at 2:38 p.m., Robert was called from labor to reward, to be with the Lord, with his wife and family embracing him. Preceding him in death are his parents, four sisters, and two brothers. Surely, he will be missed by
everyone that knew him.
Loving memories will be cherished by his devoted wife, Angie Jordan; children, John Stevenson Jordan, Daryl Jordan, Melissa (Vernon) Daley, Cortez Bryant, and Christopher Jordan; one sister, Phyllis Jordan; mother-in-law, Lorraine Curry; brother in laws, Levy (Cheryl) Parrish Jr., Rosevelt (Kim) Parrish, Leroy Parrish, Ronnie (Lori) Parrish, Donnie (Tammy) Parrish, Bob Parrish; sister in laws, Queen Dawson, Ora (George) Gatson; special niece, Shirley Newby; special grandkids, Tywan Hannans and Lariah Tarpley; a host of grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022 @ 11:00 a.m. at Mt. New Home Missionary Baptist Church, 417 Dixie Lake Rd., Folkston, Ga 31537. Services will be followed by cremation.
Remains will be viewed one hour (10:00-11:00 a.m.) prior to services.
