Robert Raymond Kafury

Robert Raymond Kafury, age 72 of Cambridge, passed away on Monday December 20, 2021 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 30, 1949, a son of the late William Kafury and Peggy (Balsley) Kafury.
Mr. Kafury was a Lieutenant on the Cambridge Police Department where he had worked for 23 years. He then started a second career as a paraprofessional at Cambridge City Schools in the Jr High and High School for over 22 years. Bob was a member of the Jerry Dragosin FOP Lodge #10. He was a huge Ohio State fan and loved and cherished his family more than anything.
Bob leaves: his wife of 49 years, Bobbie (Klass) Kafury; they were married on October 21, 1972; their two daughters, Sherrie (Michael) McCall of Columbus and Heather (Justin) Porter of Cambridge; grandchildren, Olivia and Gabby Porter of Cambridge, Clayton Porter of Cambridge and Makenna and Reagan McCall of Columbus; two sisters, Nancy (William) Meighen and Sunny (Joe) Dregallo; several nieces and nephews; a special aunt Wanda Kafury; a sister-in-law Judy Ford; his two dogs, Oliver and Maggie; and all his Saturday morning police friends at Lannings Restaurant.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; a brother Mike Kafury; his father and mother-in-law Robert and Norma Klass; and a sister-in-law Sandy Preece.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 11 am to 2 pm with his service to begin at 2 pm.
