Robert Stanley Kite

Robert "Bob" S. Kite, 92, entered peacefully into the presence of the Lord on December 4, 2025.

Born September 29, 1933, in Maryland, Robert lived a life marked by kindness, integrity, and unwavering devotion to his family and to God.

Bob previously lived in Hillcrest Heights, Cheltenham, Swan Point, and Issue, MD and Moore's Crossing in Millsboro, DE.

As a young man, Robert served proudly as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, where he learned discipline and courage that guided him throughout his life. He later earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's in Biblical Studies. He had a long career with Mitre Corporation. His greatest passion, however, was his faith. A devoted Christian, Robert encouraged his family to awaken to the prophecy of the end times and lived each day with steadfast love for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Robert was blessed with a large and loving family. With his first wife, Jane Wallace Roy, he was the father of seven children. Later, with his wife of 41 years, Joyce, he lovingly embraced her two children as his own, extending his care and guidance to them as well. To them, he lovingly taught the Word of God, and his daily prayers for their growth in faith remain a lasting legacy

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Joyce Kite; children; James Kite of Laurel, MD, Charles Kite of Delaware, and Mary Claire (Kite) Herbert of Modesto, CA; step-son, Edward Jones of Salisbury, MD; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and sister, Joyce (Kite) Brumback.

In addition to his parents, Helen M. (Naumann) and Claude E. Kite, Robert is preceded in death by his children; Robert Kite, Thomas Kite, Stephen Kite, and Eileen (Kite) Renteria; step-son, Rob Jones; granddaughter, Lauren Renteria; great-grandson; Justin Kite; and siblings; Jack Kite, Claude "Butch" Kite, Wayne Kite, and Betty (Kite) Hatton.

Robert's unconditional love, his devotion to Christ, and his gentle spirit will be remembered and cherished forever.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of Service at 12:00 PM at Raymond Funeral Service, 5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will follow at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. Repass will follow at the American Legion Post #227 in Brandywine, MD.
