Robert Knapp Obituary
Robert L. Knapp, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024, at the age of 79, in Harrisburg. He was born on July 14, 1945 to the late George and Katherine (Fryberger) Knapp in Lebanon. Robert was a loving father, brother, and friend. He was a proud Navy veteran, having served his country with honor. Robert dedicated his career to welding at Bethlehem Steel and later at Supreme Trucking. He was an avid sports fan, with a particular love for the Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, listening to music, and spending time in the great outdoors. Robert will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including sons Brian and Rod (Tammy) Knapp, daughter Bobbi (Troy) Pemberton; grandchildren Justin (Courtney), Tyler, Josie, Isabelle, Ava; siblings Erma Miller, William Knapp, Larry Knapp, Mary Lou Petruska. He was preceded in death by wife Betty E. (Singer) Knapp. Visitation will be on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon. Memorial services are to begin at 11:00 AM. Graveside services are to follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
