Robert Jansen Knickerbocker, 57, of Severna Park, Maryland died unexpectedly on June 25, 2024.
Rob was born on November 2, 1966 in Annapolis, Maryland to Jansen "Jan" and Elizabeth "Betty" Knickerbocker. He graduated from Severna Park High School in 1984. He graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Industrial Psychology. Rob enjoyed boating, kayaking, and cooking. In his younger years, he participated in many Tri-Athlons. He was a lifeguard in Bethany Beach, DE. He was part of the Ocean City Beach Patrol and San Diego Beach Patrol. After 911, Rob selflessly went to New York to help with the recovery efforts. The following year he was the grand marshal of the Severna Park Fourth of July parade.
He is survived by his sons, Patriot, Asher, and Levi. Mother Betty, brother Geoff (Val), and Jennifer Clarke, the mother of his children.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm on August 2nd at Bay Area Community Church located at 884 Chesterfield Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.
