Robert Knowles

Robert E. Knowles Sr., 80, of Friendsville, PA. Passed away at his home surrounded by his family on May, 20th, 2025.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bessie and Christie Knowles. Ten siblings, Howard Knowles, Forrest Knowles, Beatrice Van Valkenburg, Roberta Howard, Lloyd Knowles, and Harry Knowles. Mother and father-in-law, Beverly and Paul Carlin. Brother-in-laws Dennis Carlin and David Carlin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Dianne Sue Knowles. His two children, son Matthew Nelson, Friendsville, PA, and daughter Christine Nelson (Tony De Ruvo), Endwell, NY. His four grandsons, Jakob Pitcher, Johnson City, NY. Anthony De Ruvo and Dillan De Ruvo, Endwell, NY. Bryson Shaw, Vestal, NY. A great grandson Jackson Pitcher, Windsor, NY. His brother Everett Knowles, Davenport, WA. sister Juanita Hoyt, TN. His niece Gerogie Van Valkenburg (Brian), Bob so enjoyed their visits. Several nieces and nephews. His brother-in-law Daniel Carlin (Sibyl Reynolds), Endwell, NY. and sister-in-law Deborah Carlin-Hubbert (Stephen Hubbert), Clearwater, FL., Dear friends and neighbors Lenny and Jodie MaCon, Friendsville, NY.
Robert was retired from UHS and Willow Point Nursing Home.
Funeral Services will be held 6 pm, Friday, May 23, at the Allen Memorial Home, 511–5 13 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Friday, May 23 from 4 pm until service time at 6 pm.
