Bob Kobylus, 54, of Watkinsville, GA, went home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2026. A man of profound faith and kindness, Bob spent his life running toward crisis to help those in need.
Bob dedicated his life to service. From his early days as a firefighter in Avoca, PA, to his years with Marietta Fire and Athens-Clarke County Fire, and his time as an EMT, Bob saved thousands of lives. In June 2024, he turned his passion for helping others into a dream realized by opening Classic City CPR.
Above all, Bob was a devoted family man. He shared a 20-year marriage with wife, Kristine. His proudest achievement was 18-year-old son, Reese, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. Bob’s life was a testament to his love for Jesus and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Kristine; son, Reese; father, Edward; sister, Lisa Ostrowski (Joe, Ted and Michael); sister-in-law Melissa Waugh (Jon, Griffin and Parker). He was preceded in death by his mother, Veronica, and brother, Ed.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, 2 PM at Athens Church of Christ, 3720 Mars Hill Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677
