Robert "Bob" Konkle was born on January 7, 1936 in Clunette to Robert J. Konkle & Sylvia Irene Rohrer Konkle. He passed away on May 28, 2025 at Parkview Warsaw Hospital. He grew up in Kosciusko County and attended school in Burkett. Bob dedicated much of his early career to the construction industry, eventually becoming the owner of his own semi-truck. He was well-known for his hard work and skilled craftsmanship, having built several homes solely from pictures.
A proud patriot, Bob served in the US Army and was honorably discharged. He carried a strong sense of independence and was known for his strong-willed nature. Bob was a man of faith and a member of the Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge. Alongside his wife, Gloria Konkle, he enjoyed wintering in The Villages, Florida.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Gloria (Bentz) Konkle; his son, Tony (Susan) Konkle, of Rochester; his daughters, Marcia (David) Ulrich of Columbia City and Sandra Warren of Pierceton; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Konkle and Sylvia Irene Rohrer Spangle, and his sister, Arbutus McCane. Bob will be remembered fondly by those who knew him for his dedication to family, faith, and craftsmanship.
