Robert Paul "Bob" Kosar

Robert "Bob" Paul Kosar, devoted father, grandfather, brother, and man of unwavering faith, passed away on August 7, 2025, in El Lago, Texas. He was born on November 14, 1951, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, to the late Paul Jerome and Erma Caroline Hunt Kosar.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Kelley Kosar and Stacey Konkel; his sisters, Susan Gossett and Deborah Wyberg; and his beloved grandchildren, Claire, Calvin, Henry, Juliette, Judah, Hayes, and Caroline. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Diane Kosar.

Bob's love for science and problem-solving led him to earn a degree in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University in 1973, beginning a remarkable 52-year career that took him across the globe, with projects in Qatar, Holland, Venezuela, and St. Croix. Known for his unwavering integrity, valued expertise, and meticulous attention to detail, he earned the respect and admiration of all who worked with him.

Bob found joy in sailing on the water, celebrating Penn State victories, and-above all-spending time with his family. A devoted Catholic, Bob lived his faith daily through steadfast love for his family and service to others. He gave generously of his time and talents to his faith community, St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, and to the City of El Lago, where he served with dedication and pride. Bob's life was marked by quiet kindness, genuine care for others, and a humility that reflected both strength and love.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm, at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, TX. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:30 am at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18223 Point Lookout Drive, Nassau Bay, TX 77058. Burial will follow at Forest Park The Woodlands.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Bob's memory.
