Robert Michael Kunick

Robert M. "Bob" Kunick, 81, of Fairfax, VA, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024 at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA following a brief illness. Bob was born on October 27, 1943 in New York, New York, the son of the late Paul and Margaret Kunick. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Rosaline M. Kunick (nee Egan); son Jason Kunick and daughter-in-law Karen, of Carlisle, PA; son Stephen Kunick of Leesburg, VA; and six grandchildren – Steven, Eleanor, Thomas, Elizabeth, Patrick and Edward, all of Carlisle, PA.
Bob attended Farmington High School, and enlisted in the United States Air Force upon graduation. After he was honorably discharged from the Air Force, Bob attended Fairmont State University on his veteran status. After graduation, Bob moved to Fairfax, VA, where he first worked for Combined Insurance, followed by Gibson Greeting Cards, before starting his own business, Bob Kunick Associates, in 1975.
Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter, and went on several moose hunting and fishing trips to Canada. He was a die-hard Redskins fan, which tied in well to his business as a manufacturer's representative for companies that produce Pro Sports merchandise.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA. A viewing will be held on December 26 from 6-8 PM with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Clifton, VA on December 27 at 10:30 AM with interment to follow at Fairfax Memorial Park.
