Robert J. Laliberte

Robert J. Laliberte passed away January 3, 2026 after a long illness. He was 79 years old, and was born October 24, 1946 in Detroit, MI. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Stella Laliberte, his brother, Thomas Laliberte, and sister, Susan Briesky.

Bob graduated from the University of Detroit in 1972, and married his longtime girlfriend, Nancy, in 1974. They were married 51 happy years. He was the proud father of 11 Siberian Huskies over the years. Bob was a long-time season ticket holder for the Detroit Red Wings and Lions. His favorite things to do were playing golf, watching Red Wing hockey, snowmobiling, and taking special vacations.

Bob will and is being missed by his wife, Nancy, and his husky, "Meeka". He loved to joke with whoever he met. The best is being blessed with caring family and friends. Rest in peace, Bob.

Funeral service and burial will take place privately. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes to the American Diabetes Association or Hairy Houdini Siberian Husky Rescue.
