Last Saturday morning I was told by my wife, Nancy, that Bob passed. I am not ashamed to say that I cried like a baby. He was a wonderful friend who I will greatly miss.
In high school, we played several sports together. He was one of the best athletes that Ilion High School ever produced. He has many athletic accomplishments... too many to mention. Let me just say, it was a privilege and an honor for me to have played next to him.
Tiny was also one of the kindest and gentlest people I have ever known. About a week before his passing, he texted me a photo of a painting he painted. It was a picture of a mountain range next to a lake. I could not believe that this mountain of a man, with whom I played football, wrestled, and threw the shot putt with in high school actually painted this lovely painting. It was really beautiful.
And Tiny had a great sense of humor. I would often run into him at Stewart´s to catch up. We would always "man hug" and tell each other jokes. And ask each other in a very loud voice "ARE YOU READY BOMBERS?!?! I´m amazed that we were never kicked out. Currently, my gas tank is running low. I am having a hard time going to Stewart´s to `gas up´ because I know that Bob is not going to be there. When I do finally muster the strength to go to Stewart´s, I am sure that I am going to cry again when I don´t see Tiny.
Most of all, Bob was a great friend who I loved like a brother. quoting Richard Dreyfus´s line at the end of the movie "Stand by Me"...
"I Never Had Any Friends Later On Like The Ones I Had When I Was Twelve. Jesus, Does Anyone?"
God bless and keep you Brother. The world is not as beautiful as it was before you left it.
I miss you tremendously.

I'm so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I worked with Bob at Human Technologies. I'm heartbroken. He was too young to go.
