HILLERMAN, Ill. - Robert 'Stud' Lang, 76, of Hillerman, died at 9:49 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, at the Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.
Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
Robert was a retired river pilot.
Robert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Lang; daughters, Elaine Cohoon (William), Jennifer Herring, and Sally Lang (Robert Miller); sons, Robert Lang, Jr. (Kim), Chad Lang, Raymond Lang (Kim), and Andrew Lang (Kortney); 18 grandchildren, Colton, LeeAnn, Channing, Paxton, Mikayla, Tanner, Christopher, Chase, Drake, Cheyenne, Isabella, Logan, Keaton, Jacob, Miracle, Abigail, Bricley, and Riley; 9 great-grandchildren, GraceLin, Bentley, Kaden, AJ, Cage, Addie, Rory, Dani, and Jax; sister, Mary Hicks; brothers, William Lang and Billie Joe Lang; several nieces and nephews; and canine companions, Maggie and Coop.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Bill Lang; mother, Ruby (Hensley) Lang Turner; stepfather, Matthew Turner; sister, Linda Rickman; brother, Kenneth Lang.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
