Robert LeBlanc Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels - Waltham on Mar. 7, 2025.
Robert J. LeBlanc, 82, of South Yarmouth, formerly of Waltham passed away peacefully, on Monday, February 24th 2025.
Born in Canada, son of the late Zoel and Grace (Bourgeois) LeBlanc.
Robert was a precious little boy who loved to play jokes on his family and friends. He served as an altar boy for several years at Christ The King Parish. Bob loved to play softball in the back yard with the neighborhood kids. In late fall, he and his cousins made a skating rink for the winter games such as hockey and skating. Growing up in a home where music was played every day, especially on Sunday mornings when we would dance in the hall as his dad played the guitar, violin and harmonica while his mom would be singing in the background.
In 1960 the family left Canada and moved to Waltham, MA. A few years later he enlisted into The United States Army, proudly serving his country in Germany for 3 years later receiving an honorable discharge after contracting gangrene in his foot. After leaving the Army Bob worked for the City of Waltham from 1962 until he retired at the age 73.
Survived by his beloved sisters, Shirley LeBlanc and Catherine Vasselin and his niece Tracy Vasselin.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to gather and remember Bob during a graveside, Memorial Service with Military Honors from The United States Army on Monday, March 17th, 2025 at 11 AM in Mt. Feake Cemetery located, 203 Prospect Street in Waltham, MA.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are welcome.

Bobby was a great friend and help to our family. Big Jack (Coffey), Rosemarie and Wayne Gorman always appreciated the efforts Bobby made to drive them to appointments, shopping and generally help out with all sorts of needs. We are thankful that God brought Bobby to us and we pray he is in the arms of the blessed Mother, whom he loved.
