Robert "Bob" Lemke

Mr. Lemke is truly loved by all the McCormick devils he taught throughout the years. He molded, and made use all better, and he did it with kindness and compassion. Did I mention everyone loved gym with him, it was my favorite class. Rest in peace Mr. Lemke, there is a gym in heaven with Angel's that need you.

Mr Lemke was a gym teacher for me also my daughter and many of our cousins and friends I'm just finding out of his passing. Our daughter is also a teacher and she taught at McCormick for year's. She has been teaching for 32 years so far. I'm now 75 years old. So sorry for your loss.

I just found out about Mr Lemke´s passing. I was a student of his at Cyrus McCormick Elementary in the early 80´s. I have many fond memories of him. He touched hundreds, if not thousands of lives. He was always so encouraging and dedicated. He made a huge impact in our community.

To the Lemke family our sincerely deepest condolences. Hebwas a great teacher beyond that a great human being . You will be missed from The Chavez family.

I wish to extend my condolences and sympathy to the entire Lemke family and especially his wife Marilyn, who also was my colleague at Chicago teachers college. Bob was a good friend of mine and returned from the military to start college Chicago teachers college I miss him and his wife very much.

I just found out that our beloved gym teacher at McCormick passed away. He was the most patient man with all of us, especially if we struggled with the ropes, rings and ladders. But what a great time we all had in that elementary school gymnasium with one of our favorite teachers. Deepest sympathy to his family and friends. I´m sorry we didn´t know sooner. Many would have wanted to pay our respects in person. May he Rest in Peace.

Karen and family you have our sincerest sympathies. I met your parents when we were together for softball and they reminded me so much of my parents. They had plenty of time to hang out together at games. He was a great man with such a life well lived!
