Robert F. Lengle

Robert F. "Bob" Lengle, 96, of Lebanon, formerly of Tremont, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 in Cedar Haven. He was the husband of Joan I. (Seiger) Lengle, to whom he was married 67 years on September 15. Robert served in the Navy following his graduation from Tremont High School in 1946. He was later employed for over 25 years as an arc welder with Cleaver Brooks and after retirement worked part-time at Gill Rock Drill Co, Inc. His interests, which were many and varied, included playing trombone with the Tremont Community Band, listening to music (especially Dixieland and Big Band), baseball (Go Phillies!), travel, photography, reading, history, and reminiscing and sharing memories from "the old times," especially of his boyhood days spent on his grandparents' farm at Steins Mill in Schuylkill County. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Elizabeth and son-in-law James Wohlfeil of Myerstown; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Robert was preceded in death by siblings William Lengel, Ruth Freeman, and Gloria Kovack. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
