Robert L. LeSueur Jr., 75, passed away after a long and meaningful life. He was born on January 18, 1951, in Madison, North Carolina, to Savannah LeSueur and Robert LeSueur Sr. A memorial service honoring Robert's life and legacy will be held on Friday, February 13, at 3:00 p.m. at Alpine Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas.

Robert was a man of deep thought, quiet intelligence, and boundless curiosity about the world. A latent mathematician, he found joy in solving problems simply for the pleasure of it. He also had a deep appreciation for firearms, music, and African American history, always eager to learn, reflect, and share his knowledge with others.

Flying was his greatest passion. He proudly served as a pilot in the United States Air Force before going on to become a commercial flight captain for American Airlines. Being in the air was where he felt most at home, and he carried that sense of purpose and discipline throughout his life.

Our father loved to tell stories-especially stories about his childhood, his family, and where he came from. He had a mischievous streak and a playful way of weaving humor into his memories, which made his stories even more memorable. He valued history, memory, and legacy, and he passed those values down through his storytelling. Those stories, and the voice that carried them, will be deeply missed.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Savannah LeSueur and Robert LeSueur Sr., and his beloved sister, Pat Johnson.

He is survived by his three children, Teree LeSueur, Carey LeSueur, and Claire LeSueur; and his three grandchildren, Adam LeSueur-Hendry, Imani LeSueur-Hendry, and Quinton LeSueur-Hendry.

He will be remembered for his sharp mind, his love of flight, his mischievous spirit, and the stories that connected generations. Our family will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude.
