Robert Lee Long Sr.

PRINCETON, WV – Robert Lee Long, Sr., age 73, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born June 11, 1952, in Bozoo, WV, he was the son of the late Charlie H. and Kathryn Robertson Long. Robert was a jack of all trades who did many different things for work, most notably his masonry and rock walls he would build. He loved the outdoors; he couldn't wait until it was time to go out in the woods and dig roots. He was an avid rock collector and collected anything with pigs. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria F. Davis Long; two sons, Audrey Long and Robert L. Long Jr.; and brothers, Charles, Ernie, Johnny, Harold, and Roger.
Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Gloria and Barbara; his son, Josh; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; five sisters, Marie White, Virginia Meadows, Carol Long, Brenda Walker, and Norma Jean Long; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In keeping with Robert's wishes, he will be cremated. A time of fellowship and celebration of Robert's life will be announced later.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
