Bellefonte, Pennsylvania - Robert "Bob" L. Long, 90, of Bellefonte, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Born on September 27, 1935, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Raymond and Myra (Confer) Long. He was married to his beloved wife, Mildred "Mitzi" Riglin, who preceded him in death on December 1, 1998, after sharing 40 years of marriage together.

Bob was a 1954 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Army. Upon returning home, he went to work for Penn State University, retiring after 30 years of service.

Bob loved spending time at his favorite place, the family hunting camp, Fisher Hill. More than anything, he was most proud of his children and grandchildren for all being college graduates.

Bob leaves behind a daughter, Amy Long Corman (Greg Corman, Ph.D.) of Las Vegas, NV; and a son, John T. Long (Trish) of Howard, PA; and his adored grandchildren: Charity Corman, MS (Todd Rutkowski, Ph.D.); Hannah Corman, Ph.D. (Steven Gross, MS); and Cole Long, MS (Megan). He was thrilled to be a great Grandpap to Imogen Rutkowski Corman and Jackson and Wyatt Long.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Richard Long, Dorothy Dorman, Lois Gordon, and Naomi Hockman.

The family would like to sincerely thank Bob's nephew, Vince Riglin, and his dear friend, Deb Moore, for many years of laughter and companionship.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bob to St. John's Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
