Robert Lorenz Obituary

He was born on January 8, 1932, on a farm near Franklin in the Town of Herman, WI, a son of the late Herman and Lydia (Weber) Lorenz, and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1951.
On May 9, 1953, he married his high school sweetheart, Marlene Buchman, at Salem Plankroad UCC. They were married 64 years and enjoyed traveling and going to their place at Shawano Lake. Marlene preceded him in death on March 9, 2017.
Bob served in the Naval Reserves for 8 years. He worked at Kohler Co. for over 40 years, retiring in 1994, belonging to the Quarter Century Club.
He enjoyed his time up north, boating, fishing, and spending time with their family and friends up there. He also enjoyed spending time and playing with his grandchildren.
Survivors include: Daughter, Lynell (Pete) Jenquin of Marinette; Son, Gary Lorenz of Plymouth; Grandchildren: Jennifer, Amber (Kristy), and Lauren (Tristan); Sister, Gladys (Charles) Hamann; As well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by: His parents; Step-father, Fred Weigel; 5 Brothers; As well as many in-laws, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday (June 10, 2024) at Salem U.C.C. in Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 10:00-11:00am, with a service to follow at 11:00am. Pastor Nathan Athorp will officiate and burial will be in Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Bob's name to Salem U.C.C. in Plymouth.
