Robert Edward Loukus, 76, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at his home in Kearsarge of an apparent heart attack.

He was born on June 30, 1949 to Robert and Ellen (Angman).

On November 24, 1971, he married Pearl Koskela. He was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Calumet.

Proceeded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Austin Anderson, Jack Peterson; in-laws, Albert (Margaret) Koskela, Betty (Leigh) Zeitz, Arlene (Harold) Naasko, Cynthia (Dan) Miller, and Frank Honkala.

Survived by His wife Pearl, and children, Kitti Loukus, Josh (Jennifer) Loukus, Lori (Philip) Anderson, Hanna (Luke) Peterson, Adam (Amy) Loukus, Sally (Trent) Kilpela, Kelly (Scott) Anderson, Roy (Julia) Loukus.

His grandchildren: Tyler (Brook) Loukus, Clara (Derek) Pietila, Colin (Greta) Loukus, Scott (Jaycie) Loukus, Jana (Kip) Kangas, Danny, Nels, Robert Loukus; Petr, Todd, Elle, Ethan, Sophia, Navy Anderson; Celia (Chase) Juntti, Vera (Luke) Pietila, Emily (Tom) Erkkila, Megan, Lars, Emmett, and Owen Peterson; Brent (Alli) Loukus, Dean, Aksel, Isabel, Erik, Oskar, Pearl, Zack, Nate, and Orrin Loukus, Carter, Levi, Olivia, Sarah, Nolan, Avery, Graham, and Sully Kilpela; Adeline (Riley) Wills, Ben, Calvin, Oliver, George, Vivian, Jacob, Sylvia, and Elma Anderson; Ted, Millie, Brendan, Violet, Bree, Larissa, Caroline, Rachel, and Jane Loukus

His great grandchildren: Aiden, Zoey, Gwen, Cam, Aina, Elodie, Ingrid, Maryn, Ruthie, Otto, Harvey, Leo

His brothers: John (Mary), David (Mary Jane), Bruce (Mary Kay), and Timothy (Chrissy)

In-laws: Shirley Honkala, Beegu (James) Keranen, Enid (Paul) Pennala.

And many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service for Robert Edward Loukus will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday January 7, 2026 at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Calumet. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday January 7, 2026 at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Calumet.
