Robert “Bob” Paul Lowery of Snellville, GA, passed away peacefully with his wife and family by his side on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at the age of 86. Bob was survived briefly by his wife Peggy “Anoree” Self, who passed away four days later on Wednesday, March 11th, his daughter Shannon Lowery Kerpics, son-in-law Jeffrey Kerpics, and two granddaughters, Zoe Kerpics and Ava Kerpics of Lawrenceville, GA, as well as Billy Wayne Lowery of Trussville, AL.
Bob and Anoree were married in Sandusky, AL, for more than 60 years. Bob loved the beach, especially Amelia Island, FL, Stone Mountain Park, GA, and Smith Lake in AL. He was a beloved father, and “Papa” to his granddaughters. He loved to read and was called “PapaBook” by them as well, due to his time reading with them when they were younger, and his extensive book collection. His wit and sly smile and ability to tell a great story were life-long remembrances for all those who knew him and loved him. He loved the clogging community and all the friends he gained throughout the many years he supported his daughter dancing.
There will be a dual memorial service for Bob and Anoree on Sunday, March, 22nd at Sunrise Baptist Church, in Lawrenceville, GA, beginning at 12:30p Eastern time, for visitation, and service at 1:00pm with a reception following. There will also be a dual Funeral, for Bob and Anoree, on March 29th at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home in AL, with visitation beginning at 2:00p central time, service at 3:00p, and graveside following, at Holly Pond Cemetery. Reception for family and friends at 5:30p, at the home of Greg and Marnee Baker.
