Robert C. Lybrand, Jr., age 76, of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on December 13, 2025. He was born on February 5, 1949, in West Columbia, SC, to the late Robert C. Lybrand, Sr. and Ruby Mae Watts Lybrand. Robert was a lifelong resident of West Columbia and deeply rooted in the community he proudly called home.

Robert was educated in the public schools of Lexington County and became a successful self-employed businessman. He was the owner of a thriving floor covering business and was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication to his customers.

A man who truly appreciated the simple things in life, Robert was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He was also a devoted fan of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks football. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was a faithful member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church in West Columbia.

He is survived by his son, Robert Dargan Lybrand (Kim); his daughter, Deanna Engert (Dax); his grandsons, Robert Lake Lybrand and Robert Reign Lybrand (Caroline); his great-grandchildren, Stormie Ann Lybrand and Robert Drake Lybrand; his sister, Bonnie King; and his nephew, Eddie King (Rena).

Graveside services for Mr. Robert C. Lybrand, Jr. will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Delree Street, West Columbia, South Carolina.

Robert will be remembered for his love of family, dedication to his work, and appreciation for the simple pleasures of life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
