Robert was born on September 13, 1955 to Robert and Hazel (Stockdale) Lynde in Austin, Minnesota. He graduated from Austin High School. He was a parts manager at K & S Heating & Air.
Robert enjoyed working on his cabin, golfing, watching the Twins, Vikings, Timberwolves, and Gophers, and vacationing. He also loved stock car racing.
Robert is survived by his children, Benjamin Lynde of Willmar, Minnesota and Justin Lynde of Rochester, Minnesota; sibling, Shan Lynde of Anchorage, Alaska; and 2 grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dori Kramer Lynde; and daughter, Angela Lynde.
