Robert Cameron Mackie, 74, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Born in Boston, Robert was a son of the late Robert and Ruth (Peterson) Mackie.
He served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Robert later became co-owner of Mackie's Restaurant in North Attleboro with his brother William "Bill" Mackie in 1994. He enjoyed cooking and baking at the restaurant for over 31 years.
Robert is known for being a caring, thoughtful gentleman. When he saw a need, he would fulfill it, giving you the shirt off his back. He was a loyal football fan, rooting for the New England Patriots and the Navy in the Army-Navy games. He enjoyed time at the ocean, especially trips to Old Orchard Beach Maine and Cape Cod.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 312 in South Attleboro, and he was a past Commander of the American Legion Post 93 in Foxboro.
Robert is survived by the love of his life, Sheila A. (Bliss) Mackie of Attleboro. Together, they enjoyed 31 years of marriage.
He was adored by his stepchildren (2), affectionately referred to as "GP" by his grandchildren (4) who also thought the world of him. He had 3 great grandchildren. Robert was blessed to be part of a large family with many brothers and sisters and lucky to have many nieces and nephews in his life, who dearly loved him.
