Robert F. Margetanski, 74, of Frackville, went home to be with the Lord, Monday evening, Sept. 2, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.
Bobby was born, Dec. 15, 1949, in Lykens, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Rose Margetanski Doyle. He was a graduate of Mar Lin Intermediate School. Despite his lifelong health issues with cerebral palsy, he never let his disability hold him back. He was able to live a self-efficient life, an accomplishment that made his family extremely proud.
Bobby was very active with Avenues of PA, Pottsville, and retired from Lessie's Garden Greenhouse and Gift Shop. He was formerly a member of the Jaycees. Bobby also belonged to the Foursquare Gospel Church. He had a deep faith in the Lord.
Bobby could often be found listening to his radio, cheering on the Eagles, Phillies and Yankees. He loved his sports. He also was an avid bowler, belonging to numerous bowling leagues and received many trophies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim and Joe Doyle.
Surviving are his three sisters, Sue Jones and her husband, Ed, Tower City, Rose Challenger, and Kathy Doyle, both of Williamstown; a brother, Larry Doyle, Joliett; two nephews and two nieces; three great-nieces and two great-nephews who he dearly loved.
Bobby will be laid to rest privately in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Williamstown, with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating.
