Robert G. Maybury Sr. of the Rancocas section of Westampton passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Elmwood Hills in Gloucester Township. He was 87.
Born in Rancocas, son of the late Albert and Maud Maybury, Bob was a longtime dairy farmer and was a master of rigging anything on the farm to make it work. He also worked for his brother Ray delivering auto parts (probably talked more that worked), and worked at Mayberry Riggers for many years.
Bob enjoyed going to Dunleavy's with his friend Larry Corn every Friday night.
Predeceased by his wife Darlene, he is survived by 2 children Debi Baker (Bob) and son Robert Maybury Jr. (Ginny); grandsons: Dale (Kelly) and Joshua (Devenne), granddaughters: Tara (Brendon), Autumn, Tanner, & MacKenzie; and 3 great granddaughters: Vivian, Haley and Norah. He is also survived by his former wife Barbara Cloak, his sisters Charlotte Wainwright, Janet Johnson, a brother Len Maybury; and his sisters-in-law: Jean Maybury, Judith Maybury, and Carol Ann Maybury. He was predeceased by his brothers: Albert Jr., Warren, Elmer, Elwood, and Raymond Maybury, and sisters Dorothy Harkins and Marion Maybury. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and step-children.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 6th from 10:30am – 12 Noon and a funeral service will follow at 12 Noon at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Burial will be in the Mount Holly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation at www.parkinson.org or to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice at https://samaritannj.org/giving/donate-now/
