Robert Shane "Berto" McElroy, 36, was a beloved soul who touched the lives of many, passed away on June 18, 2024.
He was born on March 29, 1988 in Montgomery, AL, where his journey began. Robert's passions in life was
his time spent with friends and loved ones, and enjoying Auburn football.
Robert was a very talented man. He had the ability to master concrete, pipefit, weld, mechanic, and practically any type of construction.
Due to his time working for Burkes Mechanical & Brooks Mechanical through the years.
Robert was preceded in death by his PawPaw, Robert Edward McElroy; PawPaw, Amos George Roberts; Grandpa, James (Jim) Richard Hill;
beloved MawMaw, Martha Dianne Hill; and 1st cousin & friend, Travis Mitchell McElroy.
Among those grieving his loss are his father, Robert Edward "Eddie" (Amanda) McElroy, Jr.; mother, Jennifer "Jenn" (David) Hansen; brother,
Derek Edward (Tabitha) McElroy; sister, Sable Jaeanne McElroy; brother, Jacob Hughey; sister, Jessica Hughey; niece, Delilah Rose Highstreet; nephew,
Jayce Robert McElroy; grandmother, Jeannette Roberts; and grandfather, Raymond (Sharon) Waggoner; and an abundance of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church #2, Maplesville, AL. The funeral
will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the church, followed by graveside in the church cemetery.
Food and fellowship will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
