Robert Gerald "Bob" McGowan

Robert "Bob" Gerald McGowan, of Rolla, MO, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the age of 95.
He was born on April 26, 1930 in Dallas, TX to the late Elmer McGowan and Claudine (Hopkin) McGowan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Roy Causey.
Bob was a member of the Rolla Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1951 – 1953. Bob was a long-time employee at Varo, Inc in Garland, TX. Exercising and staying fit was a priority for him. He enjoyed running and participated in marathons and 10Ks. Restoring his 1956 Ford truck gave him great joy and he loved going to car rallies and looking at antique cars. Reading was also a passion.
Bob will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: two daughters, Pamela Causey of Harrison, AR and Kim Zumbehl of Chesterfield, MO; three grandchildren, Jason Causey, Timothy Causey, and Stephani Biermann and husband, Matt; and four great grandchildren, Ethan Causey, Paige Causey, Bailey Biermann and Braden Biermann.
A funeral service for Robert G. McGowan will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Waynesville. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
