Nicole, Robbie, Christopher, Linda, and families...I have no words. I am so very, very sorry for your profound loss.
In the ten years that Robert and I worked together, day in and day out, side by side at the Stata dock, not a day went by that he did not entertain me with stories about your family, updates about the boys, or memories from his time growing up in Dorchester. We shared a special bond, having both taken care of our own mothers before their passing. He thoroughly enjoyed your family's travels, was amazed by and proud of your sons' adventures in life, and always seemed to have yet another home improvement project in the works!
Robert was a kind, caring, and giving man who absolutely loved his family and was completely devoted to you and the boys, Nicole. In all of the time we spent working together, I only ever heard how proud he was of his children, and how smart and talented his wife was.
Robert and I have always stayed in touch, even after we no longer worked side by side. We last spoke over the Holidays. Even though we no longer saw each other every day, I will feel his loss for a very long time to come.
I know there are no words that will ease your pain, but I hope in years to come you will be able to read entries like this one, and it will bring a smile to your face knowing what kind of legacy Robert left behind.
All my love and prayers,
Susan Bolster
