Robert D "Bob" McKenzie

I have known Bob since 1973 when my family moved to Mount Vernon Ohio. He was always a beautifully kind man. Always spoke with a smile and a kind word. A person was never overlooked by him. My sincere condolences to the family. I know he is resting in peace.

Bob McKenzie Eulogy

I knew Bob from his faithful participation in our weekly bible study at The Living Center. I loved Bob for his faithfulness as well as his sense of humor. He was a joy to have in our little community of study.

I got to enjoy Bob just one week ago at our last bible study. I like to test everyone with occasional questions - mostly for fun but to encourage participation. We had just read John 7:37-39: "On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them." By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive." After reading this I asked, "who else did Jesus say this to privately?" John spoke right up and answered "The Samaritan woman at the well! I was so proud of him

I heard that Bob was out to lunch with a group later last week and got to drive around some neighborhoods where Bob built homes. I see his obituary tells about this bit of his history being a contractor.

Bob lived a good life and has great memories and he loved life. He was a joy to be around. I extend my deepest condolences to all his friends and family in losing him. But we know where he is and we can expect to see him again.
