In memory of
Michael Soloway
April 5, 2024
Tom and Terry said it all. I can't add anymore. I worked with Bob and for Bob over the many years at GMF/FANUC Robotics.
You'll be missed greatly by all that crossed your path.
RIP Bob

I was blessed to work with Bob from his first day at GMF until his retirement. The majority of that time I was managing our Service Department, so I got to work close with Bob almost every day. Bob was part of the original GMF team and a person our whole department could always count on to bail us out (and get us home to our families) whenever we needed critical parts. If I had a dime for every time Bob miraculously found us a part (or maybe turned his head when we "borrowed one" from another robot :)., - I could have retired years earlier!!! I apologize to Bob's family for his bad days at work. No doubt me, or someone in my team, were involved in those. From day one, a down robot in production was priority one for our company. Bob clearly understood that. He exemplified our company's mandate of caring, sharing, and trust - the same one that made the company it is today - the biggest and best - in the world!!!
Rest in peace brother, I will never forget you, or our god given time together.

I met Bob at GMF back in 1985, and recall him to be one of the most respected employees. The company parts crib under Bob´s control, could have been referred to as Fort Knox. I think Bob took great pride in hiring entry level personnel and turning them into hard working, full time personnel. As a manager, he was very strict, but also empathetic with his people. FANUC America is successful today, because of people like Bob. Everyone that worked at GMF/FANUC knew who Bob was, and relied greatly on his integrity.
So sorry for the loss of such a great fellow worker and friend. Bob is in our thoughts and prayers!

I will remember you Uncle Bob as a great family man, with the greatest character, integrity, moral and religious compass. I am grateful for your influence as it shaped me as a teenager and into my adult life.
So, Uncle Bob, may your influence in the heavens above be as great as your time here on earth!

So grateful for all the beautiful memories we have with Bob. The trips, up north adventures, the Soo Locks, Alabama, Florida, the casino nights, game nights. I am heart broken for Barb and the entire family has our sympathy. Bob was simply the best.
