Robert L. Metek

Robert L. Metek, age 76, of Medina, Ohio, passed away suddenly on June 19, 2024. He was born to the late John M. and Grace (Force) Metek on March 28, 1948, in Alma, Michigan. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was the owner of B&M Gutters for over 40 years before retiring in 2012. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, cutting his grass, and spending time with his family, especially his "little nips", Kaiden and Kashden. He was a lifetime member of the Medina VFW.
Robert is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kimberly S. Metek; his children, Shelby Metek, his forever "little punkin" (Chris Bates), Wesley Metek, and Shannon (Pete Saunders) Metek; his grandchildren, Kaiden and Kashden Metek-Bates, Brooke (Matthew) Pizarro, Abby Metek, and Jessica Grieving, and Chase Saunders; his siblings, Walter Metek (Ingrid), Gene Metek (Trish), John Metek (Theresa), William Metek, Christine Rising, and Kathy Carter (Dan); his sister and brother-in-law, Ronda Smelko (Al); and numerous nieces, and nephews. He was preceded by his sisters, Judy, Ardith, and Iris.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256. The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
